Why Work With CMD                         Selection Criteria

CMD chooses manufacturers that are well located geographically to take advantage of cost efficient shipping ports in China.  In selecting our manufacturers, CMD applies a stringent process and criteria to ensure our manufacturers match the specific needs of our clients and are able to grow their business quickly over time.  This list provides a guideline to the CMD selection criteria:

• Must have obtained and practice ISO9001 or similar quality accreditation

• Food manufacturers must have HACCP accreditation

• Must have the ability to produce a wide range of products within an individual category

• Must demonstrate a positive attitude towards employee human rights

• Must practice fair employee labour policies

• Must provide employees quality meals and accommodation (where applicable)

• Must be able to produce multiple quality levels

• Must be exporting at least 30% of existing production capacity

• Must be currently exporting to the United States or Europe

• Must currently be working with at least one large scale reputable retailer/wholesales or recognisable brand company

• Must be located in a district of China that is within close proximity of an airport and cost efficient shipping facility

• Must have a business strategy that encompasses ongoing production of private label

• Must have a minimum 30% surplus capacity

• Must demonstrate a plan to grow and expand your existing business  and capability

• Must agree to develop your internal systems, technology and processes as per the guidelines provided by CMD
